LensCue Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 22, 2026

This policy explains how LensCue handles information when you use the LensCue iOS app. LensCue is designed as a teleprompter and recording workflow for creators. Camera and microphone access are used for recording, and Photos access is used only when you choose to save a take.

1. Who We Are

LensCue is provided by the LensCue app publisher under the GitHub account nances. For privacy requests, contact us through LensCue support issues.

2. Information We Process

CategoryPurposeWhere it is processed
Scripts and script metadataLet you draft, edit, select, and reuse teleprompter scripts.Stored locally on your device unless you export or share it.
Camera and microphone inputRecord teleprompter video takes.Processed on device during recording.
Recorded takesStore, preview, share, and save recordings.Stored in app storage; copied to Photos only when you choose Save.
Purchase and subscription statusProvide Pro features, restore purchases, and manage subscriptions.Processed by Apple and, if enabled in the build, Adapty.
Device, product, and diagnostics dataOperate subscriptions, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and understand feature performance.Processed by service providers only when the relevant SDKs are enabled.
Advertising identifier or tracking permission statusMeasure and personalize marketing only if App Tracking Transparency permission is requested and granted.Tracking is optional and recording works if permission is denied.

3. Permissions

LensCue may request access to the camera, microphone, and photo library. iOS controls these permissions and you can change them in Settings. LensCue may also request App Tracking Transparency permission for marketing measurement or personalization. You can deny tracking without losing recording functionality.

4. Legal Bases for EEA and UK Users

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data based on performance of a contract when providing app features and subscriptions, consent when you grant optional permissions or tracking, legitimate interests for app security and reliability, and legal obligations where required by law.

5. Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell your scripts or recorded takes. We may share limited information with Apple for App Store distribution, in-app purchases, subscriptions, crash diagnostics, and platform services. If Adapty is enabled, subscription-related identifiers, purchase status, product interactions, and diagnostics may be processed by Adapty to operate paywalls and subscriptions. Service providers must process data only for the services they provide to LensCue.

6. International Transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections or the service provider's transfer mechanisms.

7. Retention

Local scripts and recordings stay on your device until you delete them, delete the app, or export/share them. Subscription records are retained by Apple and payment/subscription providers according to their legal, tax, fraud-prevention, and platform obligations. Support requests are retained as long as needed to respond and maintain records.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. EEA and UK users may also complain to a data protection authority. California users may request to know, access, correct, delete, or opt out of sale or sharing of personal information, and may not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights. LensCue does not sell personal information as that term is commonly understood.

9. Children

LensCue is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the app's data practices. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so please use care when recording, exporting, or sharing content that includes personal or sensitive information.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as LensCue evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where required, by providing additional notice.
